How to install Toyota Techstream v14.20.019?

Step 1: Install setup

Open Techstream _GTS_14.20.019 folder

Install Techstream_GTS-14.20.019-NDSI(1)
Select Software language

InstallShield Wizard install
Agree license agreement

Enter User name (AADD) and company name (1111), press Next
Press Install

Finish install setup successfully.
Click on Finish to exit.

Step 2: Install driver
Open driver folder

Install MVCI Driver for Toyota Cable 2.0.1
Press Install

Finish install MINI-VCI driver

Step 3: Select VIM

Open Techstream software on desktop

If system prompts Java Runtime message, press No to continue

If techstream asks enter activation key, press Cancel

Select Setup tab->VIM Select


Select interface as Xhorse MVCI and press OK

Step 4: Activate Techstream

Open Readme text in Techstream _GTS_14.20.019 folder


Paste Techstream.exe”/395070/VM:1

Right click Techstream on desktop and go to Properties
Replace Target “C:/Program Files/Toyota Diagnostics/Techstream/bin/MainMenu.exe” by “C:/Program Files/Toyota Diagnostics/Techstream/bin/Techstream.exe”/395070/VM:1”

Q: MB SD C4 Connect Compact 4 Star 2013.03 update error: the software update was aborted. Please repeat the update process. (662)

A: do not update MB SD Connect Compact 4. You are allowed to update hardware version to 2.02, not 2.2.

4. About activation/code
Q1: When Setup SD connect Compact 4 hard disk, while got a message reading “No access authorization code! Please contact the Star diagnosis call center.

How to Program a used ELV on Mercedes W246 FBS3?


Did anyone successfully programmed a used ELV on a Mercedes W246 2014 , its still FBS3.

Emulator works no problem, but i cannot activate a personalised elv to the ezs.

i tried 3 different elv.. used avdi and vvdi mb for renewing and programming.

If you wish to use a renewed ESL for these W246/176 cars then it must be personalised via the EZS IR portal in the car. (Blue Key Method same as dealer does it)

There is only the one tool that currently supports the personalisation of these Auto Scanner Tool via the EZS IR Portal (Extreme MB Tool) it uses the same protocol as the dealers Blue workshop Key. This is the only way that a renewed W246/176 ESL will get activated and work again.

The old methods we used in the past to personalise a renewed W204 ESL on the bench via K-line do not work on these later ESL, they will personalise ok, but will not activate when we insert a working key as the old W204 ESL did …

However, there is no problem using an emulator on these W246/176 cars.

I flashed NBT EVOs with old ICOM without problems.


Flashed all Cars with ICOM Next and Online Aos with DHCP over Router. Since that i have Never any Problems with NBT or other. Flash E/F/G with this Setup.

Note that Online Aos is the online version of the BMW software for Diagnostic, Programming any many other things.


To answer your question
1st : you doesn’t need iCOM NEXT ON CnAutotool to flash the G series…but It actually Lot better & save up your times because iCOM NEXT has build in Gigabit connection.
2nd : old iCOM working find. It just take a lot longer.


Icom best any type , router I noticed w my setup I use desktop w 2 lan port and on a few f cars it actually faster then oem it programs up to 8 module same time w gigabit switch , and handle data lots faster than etnet cable and for certain modules the router is a must will crash hu high in kombi in a few others


Any icom will work , but to be safe with f,g,i series vehicles , use a dedicated router as kafas huh and a few other modules will crash if you do not use a router it handles the switches for Ethernet as those modules use more than 1 path way , in short it uses all 4 two pair wires and without router not good , this has worked for me for some time now good luck. note my router does not connect to wan


ICOM Next is the best option for G series, working better and faster than old BMW ICOM cables. It handles multiprogramming and coding quite nicely. Gets the job done much faster if flashing the complete vehicle. Also, another benefit to Next will be compatibility for future cars.
